SRCP cross helically wound steel wire reinforced polyethylene composite pipes are designed for liquid and material transport in mining, water, and agriculture. These lightweight pipes weigh about one-quarter compared to steel while offering comparable pressure ratings, making installation safer and more cost-effective. Steel pipes have traditionally met mining demands but are heavy and difficult to install. HDPE pipes, being lighter and flexible, ease installation but only handle pressures up to 1,700 kPa. In 2018, SRCP was introduced to address these issues in paste fill systems.
